LOCAL & GMT:
This page runs on JavaScript. If you have Javascript disabled in your browser, it will not display correctly. The script reads the internal time settings in your computer, so it will work correctly regardless of your time zone. It will also correct for daylight saving time if used in your area. Of course, if your computer system time is incorrect, the times displayed below will also be incorrect. There are many free utilities that will synchronize your computer system clock to online atomic clocks. We use WebTime, available as freeware at http://www.gregorybraun.com/WebTime.html.
This is your local time.

This is the current Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), also known as Universal Time (UT). For most purposes, the two times are identical.

If you are the curious sort, and viewed the sourcecode for this JavaScript, be advised that we know it's not pretty. It was cut and pasted together from a variety of individual scripts, probably contains redundancies, and could certainly be written from scratch much more efficiently. But it does work, and that's good enough for us.
