Desert Foothills Astronomy Club

Welcome to DFAC.

The Desert Foothills Astronomy Club serves as an educational resource for the north valley. We exist to promote the hobby of astronomy, and increase public awareness of light pollution issues. DFAC meets at the North Valley Regional Library in Anthem on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, September through May inclusive, December excluded. Our DFAC Lecture Series, which is open to the public, features presentations by professional and amateur astronomers. With a prime focus on member collaboration and education, DFAC hosts private observing sessions at north valley venues for the purpose of sharing expertise in instrument use, observing techniques, and general astronomical knowledge. If you're looking for an organization that can help you become a better astronomer, you've come to the right place. Whatever your level of experience, we welcome all who share our love of the night sky.
